When your doctor orders home health care, a Home Health Aide becomes part of your care team. Our aides are Certified Nursing Assistants who assist with daily personal care, support your recovery, and keep your nurse informed of any changes in your condition.
Our Medicare-certified home health aides assist with the personal care tasks that support your recovery at home. Every aide on our team holds an active CNA credential, which means they are trained to do more than complete a checklist — they observe, document, and communicate with your clinical team so your care stays on track.
Observing and reporting changes in your condition to the nurse managing your plan of care
Medicare covers home health aide visits when your doctor has ordered skilled nursing or therapy care at home and you are homebound. Aide visits are covered in full — no copay, no coinsurance — as long as skilled care is also part of your plan. Coverage is available on a part-time or intermittent basis, typically up to 28 hours per week combined with skilled nursing.
If you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan — including UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, or another carrier — your plan covers at least the same home health aide services as Original Medicare. We work directly with Medicare Advantage plans to verify your benefits and manage authorization on your behalf.
